Some invoices need something only a colleague knows. Did we receive this? Which project is it for? Is this price right? A question in Glimps stays attached to the invoice, so the answer lands where the work is instead of in somebody’s mailbox.

Asking

Open the invoice and click Ask. Pick a colleague or a group, write the question, and send it.
  • A person gets the question with a direct link to the invoice.
  • A group gets it once, and any active member can answer.
Glimps tells you how the question will be delivered. If your colleague collects questions in a daily digest, your question lands in their next scheduled mail.
Be specific. “Did we receive the 40 pallets on this invoice, or only 30?” gets an answer in one round. “Is this correct?” gets a question back.

The Questions page

Open Questions in the sidebar. Everybody sees every question, so anyone who knows the answer can pick one up. Filters: Select a question to read the whole thread, see the invoice next to it, and reply.

Answering

Type your answer and send it. Some questions offer buttons as well, because Glimps asked the question itself and knows which answers it can act on. For example: “This is the right purchase order”, “Yes, we received it”, or “Accept the difference”. You can always write in your own words instead. Glimps reads what you wrote and acts on it.
A question asked by Glimps is part of a case. Your answer does more than close a thread: it lets the invoice move on. See Self-driving.

Closing, reopening, and archiving

  • Mark as answered closes a question that no longer needs anything.
  • Replying to a closed question opens it again, unless you say to keep it closed. That way a thank-you does not resurrect a finished thread.
  • Withdraw takes back a question you asked.
  • Archive clears a question from your own list. Your colleagues still see it.
